This week, it’s all about pasta! I’m sharing some great comfort foods with a twist—satisfying, healthier pasta options that are high in protein, easy to make, and super tasty. Perfect for busy nights when you want something both delicious and nutritious!

What is Protein Pasta?

High-protein pasta is specially formulated to be higher in protein, using ingredients like soy, chickpeas, or lentils instead of traditional wheat flour.

Protein Pasta Brands

There are several popular brands of protein pasta, and their protein content ranges between 10 grams per serving and 25 grams per serving. Here are some of my favorite options:

  • Carba-Nada Pasta– Egg fettuccine pasta. Each serving has 16 grams of protein.
  • The Only Bean – Made from edamame spaghetti pasta. Comes in spaghetti and linguine. Each 2 oz has 25 grams of protein.
  • Barilla Protein Plus Pasta– Comes in various shapes, including penne, elbow, farfalle, and rotini. Each serving provides 10 grams of protein.
  • Banza Protein Pasta– Made from chickpea flour, this brand packs 23 grams of protein per serving.

What’s Cooking this Week?

Easy High Protein Skillet Lasagna

This is the easiest and most delicious high protein lasagna you will ever make – in one skillet. There’s no boiling the lasagna noodles beforehand and no layering project involved. All you have to do is brown the onions and garlic, add the seasonings, lasagna noodle pieces, marinara sauce and cheeses, and the entire meal gets cooked right in the pan. How easy is that!

This recipe is one of my husband’s favorites. It’s got a creamy, spicy kick with mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Lighten it up with cashew cream and add some chicken to boost protein. This 30-minute, one-pot pasta dish is perfect for weeknight cooking and will become a family favorite!
