This week’s theme is protein prep! My boys are big eaters and like their protein just like their mom. We go through quite a lot of chicken and beef every week, so I was inspired by my Costco and Kroger runs. 😀 As you know, the Food & Mood game plan emphasizes the importance of always having at least one protein ready to go. From quick stir-fries and hearty salads to protein-packed bowls, having versatile and ready-to-use proteins helps me and my family stay on track with our healthy lifestyle, no matter how hectic life gets. I’d love to hear what your go-to protein prep looks like. Share your recipes and comments below! Keep going.  🤍

The Food & Mood App is Here!

I have some exciting news – the Food & Mood app is almost ready for launch and will be available in Apple and Google Stores in about two weeks! This app will bring all your favorite content, including recipes, resources, Sunday Playbooks, and coaching replays, right to your fingertips. Plus, it features Healthy Habit Builders and goal-tracking tools to help you and your family build and celebrate lasting healthy habits.

I need your help! I’m looking for 20+ members to test the app over the next few weeks. If you’re interested, reply to this email or text me, and I’ll share the next steps on how to get access. As a thank you, you’ll receive exclusive Food & Mood merch. Thank you so much for being a part of the Food & Mood Cafe. I truly appreciate you.

What’s Cooking this Week?

Instant Pot Shredded Beef

This Instant Pot Shredded Beef is easy, flavorful and extremely versatile. You only need beef, broth and seasonings to have this ready on a busy weeknight. Serve in tacos, on salads, in quesadillas or in a sandwich and use the sauce as a delicious dip.

Honey Garlic Chicken

This Honey Garlic Chicken recipe is always a hit! You get that Chinese takeout vide, but it’s healthy. The recipe comes together under 30 minutes and is loaded with protein and fiber. I always double the chicken (and sauce) and swap the the quinoa for brown rice. Enjoy!

Pepper Steak

If you’re a fan of Pepper Steak, try this recipe. It’s made with stir-fried beef, peppers, and onions. Opt for sirloin—it’s healthier and usually a good value. Serve with rice, and double the sauce.

Orange Sage Pork Chops

I’m trying these Orange Sage Pork Chops for Sunday dinner. The reviews look fantastic, and I scored a pack of 10 boneless pork chops for $10! I love the combination of sage and citrus—they look super flavorful and tender. Of course, I’m doubling the recipe to feed my crew and have leftovers. Let me know if you give it a shot too!
